Direct MailThis is an area which is often neglected by advertising agencies, primarily because it requires a special creative effort. And, while there are many capable direct mail houses available, they usually lack the broad marketing experience required to assure complete success of any direct marketing program.
LiteratureWe’ve been developing flyers, brochures, catalogs and other pieces of literature since 1976. We have the capability of carrying it through every stage --- copywriting, artwork, printing, mailing and follow-up.
Marketing ResearchMarketPlan provides basic research for clients, especially as it relates to the compilation of secondary data. We also get involved in such primary research as telephone and mail surveys. In addition, we have associates with whom we work on major projects. Even in these instances, however, we provide input for the analysis of the data, as well as the final written report.
Mail Order AdvertisingAlthough this is an “unglamorous” area of marketing, for certain clients it is vital to their existence. For example, one of MarketPlan’s clients in the geriatrics field looked to mail order and direct mail to generate all of its sales revenues.

We are able to take on one or more tasks to help get the job done --- anything from package design to preparation of collateral --- from dealer letters to in-store activity. NewslettersHere’s an extremely cost-effective method of maintaining contact with any given target: employees, sales organization, distributors, customers. One issue of a newsletter can be price competitive with the space cost of one ad.
PublicityThis is another cost-effective form of Marketing Communications. Editorial copy is generally more believable than paid advertising space. It also can be used as a research tool --- e.g., testing the pull of a specific publication.
Sales AnalysisWe’re cognizant of the correlation between sales efficiency and optimum profitability. We firmly believe true sales efficiency can be best attained through a thorough analysis of past sales. We are professional both in analyzing and interpreting sales data, thus providing a measurement of past sales activity. We also believe that a thorough sales analysis will help to fine-tune future promotions --- it eliminates “bugs” and, thus, permits refinements that lead to more effective efforts in the future.
Sales and Promotional PlanningWith proper sales analysis, we are better prepared to develop effective sales programs. At MarketPlan, we are skilled in adding promotional flavor to these plans. Moreover, we have a reputation for developing programs that are both practical and quickly mounted. To help implement these plans, we’re adept at putting together “modular” sales meetings.
Sales Follow-Up ProgramJust as a good athlete needs to follow through, so it is important for professional marketing people to follow up on all sales, promotional and marketing activities. We’re experts in sales follow-up and have often used premiums and other incentives to make programs more successful. We can also offer assistance in sales training.
